Are Scientists Making Monkeys out of Priests?
No. It's the other way around.

We interviewed a Catholic priest by the name of Father Archie De Souza at the St. Patrick's Cathedral in Karachi, Pakistan while on a Dawah tour there.

Father De Souza was most courteous and gave us an interview on very short notice. For that we thank him and hope for the chance to visit with him again in February of 2001, inshallah.

He was very interesting and told us that he holds a doctor's degree in Christianity and a Doctor's degree IN ISLAM! 
Another very interesting thing is that he informed us that the Catholic Church now accepts the theory of humans coming from monkeys (theory of evolution). That is interesting to me especially because I was just reading an interesting book of the latest findings of genetic studies on apes, monkeys and humans. 

Guess what the scientist are all saying now? It is IMPOSSIBLE for humans to have come from apes or monkeys because there are too many differences in the gene structures and there are no links between them. Additionally, they mentioned that the monkeys and apes are still living today and because the structure is so different, it is not mathematically possible that some how there is any connection between them.

So, according to scientist's latest findings:
Quran is right again... 

"From what thing did He create him (man)?
From Nutfah (male and female semen drops) He created him and then set him in due proportion.

"Verily, He it is Who begins and repeats (or originates the creation of everything, and then repeats it on the Day of Resurrection)."
85:13[]

"O mankind! What has made you careless about your Lord, the Most Generous?"
"Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion.
"In whatever form He willed, He put you together.
"Nay! But you deny Ad-Din (the Day of Judgment)."
[82:6-9]

"So let man see from what he is created!
He is created from a water gushing forth,
proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs.
Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)!
[86:5 & 6]

Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High,
Who has created (everything) and then proportioned it."
[87:1 & 2]

"And surely, We created you (your father Adam) and then gave you shape (the noble shape of humans); then We told the angels, "Bow down before Adam", and they bowed down, except Satan, he refused to be of those who bow down." [7:11]
