Pilgrimage to Mecca
"Hajj" is an important rite of incumbent on every mature Muslim at least once in the lifetime when Allah makes a way for the person to go and the way is safe.
The Hajj is to the Holy Kabah in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. The whole ceremony commemorates the sacrificing of the son of Ibrahim (Abraham) thousands of years ago.
There are actually several days involved in the Hajj and all of it ends with a trip to the vast open plain of Arafat on the last day. The proper time for Hajj each year is according to the lunar or moon calendar.
